KeterCloud public cloud VPS (Virtual Private Server) is a virtualized server that mimics a dedicated physical server but is hosted across several physical servers. The virtualization software isolates compute and storage resources and dedicates them to each particular workload securely. VPS instances operate with their own operating system (OS), resources (CPU, RAM, Storage), and have administrative privileges, giving you control over them like a dedicated server but with shared physical infrastructure.

What is a VPS?
A Virtual Private Server (VPS) is a virtualized server that provides dedicated resources within a shared physical server, offering greater control, flexibility, and performance compared to standard shared hosting.
How quickly can I deploy a VPS?
KeterCloud VPS instances can typically be deployed within seconds after account setup and provisioning.
What payment billing methods are accepted?
Payments are charged via credit card, accepting all major cards through Stripe, a certified and secure payment platform..
How do credits apply?
Cloud credits (if applicable) can be applied to monthly invoices based on eligibility and program terms.
Is a firewall included with the VPS?
A Cloud Virtual Firewall appliance is not included by default. KeterCloud offers a license-free, open-source pfSense firewall appliance. It is recommended to provision a firewall instance with a starting configuration of 1 vCPU, 1 GB RAM, and 25 GB storage (GP.Byte2) as the main gateway (vWAN), with workload VMs connected through a private network (vLAN) for secure traffic management.
Is technical support available?
Yes. KeterCloud provides 24/7 support for provisioning, troubleshooting, and general VPS management questions.
Is root/admin access available?
Yes. VPS instances come with full root (Linux) or administrator (Windows) access, enabling complete control over configuration and software installations.
How reliable is the service?
KeterCloud leverages Tier 3 data centers with redundant power, cooling, and network systems, providing an Instance-Level SLA of 99.99% uptime for VPS instances.
What operating systems are supported?
KeterCloud supports a wide range of operating systems including Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian, etc.) and Windows Server versions.
Can I bring my own IPs?
Yes. KeterCloud can provide a pool of IP addresses for hosted private cloud, or customers may bring their own IP blocks, which the KeterCloud team can publish.
Are backups included?
KeterCloud offers optional backup solutions for VPS instances, ensuring data can be restored quickly in case of failure or accidental deletion. We recommend customers run and operate their own backup depository.
